Welcome to
THE RIVERSIDE AT AYMESTREY

The Riverside at Aymestrey is situated deep in the heart of Herefordshire countryside just on the southern edge of the Mortimer Forest, yet still close to Ludlow and Hereford.

Authentic and atmospheric, the 16th century black and white building is surrounded by the natural beauty of the River Lugg valley. A small and lovely village with lovely people completes the setting.

“I took over The Riverside as Chef Patron in May 2016, having been Head Chef here for the past 10 years.

My passion for my kitchen garden, sourcing local produce and menu innovation is tremendous.  My team and I  look forward to welcoming you to The Riverside in the near future.” Andy Link

Lovely location. We have been here a couple of times and the menu is very good. I had the beetroot salad and it is delicious and the service is quick too!

Phantastic food. Dinner was great. Smoked belly pork was astounding. Mutton was delicious. Blue cheese ice cream a bit out of the ordinary but amazing.

It is great to see somewhere so committed to using local produce, but most importantly making it so good to eat - we could happily have ordered every option on the menu!

The menu was inventive without being outré and each course was a delight with well thought out and interesting flavour combinations making beautifully balanced dishes.

The attentiveness, professionalism and general atmosphere of calm (even when busy!) displayed by all the staff was lovely, and all in a beautiful location. My vegetarian diet was more than amply catered for with a bespoke choice of three mains and lovely veggie sausages for breakfast. The Hayloft accommodation and extra care you show to furry guests is touching and sincere. If Molly, our dog, could speak, I am sure she would give you all a resounding thumbs (paws) up!
